Razor to I Phone

I just changed from a Razor to an I Phone, I had a razor puck in the car, although I never had the phone in the cradle and just used it via Bluetooth.
I have heard that the Razor puck would work only with a razor, I have not been able to pair the I Phone with the puck, I would think that bluetooth is bluetooth, and that any bluetooth device is universal and all work. Am I doing something wrong in the setup, or will it not work with the I Phone?

Did your Razor cradle into something to connect and charge? If so that is a specific model. If you charged through a 12v outlet and paired wireless to the COMMAND unit, then in the smaller section of your center console you will find an electronic puck that is sort of shaped like the nose of the AMG Mclaren. (Yes I like to dream)
There is a way to easily pair that unit to your iPhone. If you need the instructions, let me know and I will post.

Thank you for the reply, yes my unit in the console is for a razor, and the phone does fit into the puck, ait will then work and charge, so I realize that it is a razor unit although I used it 90% of the time bluetooth only, not snapped into the cradle, but connected bluetooth, will that cradle work with the I phone via bluetooth? I do see the puchs that look like the front of a Mclaran, I do understand that they will work with most phones, I hoped that the razor puck would work with the I Phone through bluetooth, do you know if it will?

Specific phone cradles--whether Bluetooth or not--do not work with other phones.
