Turning In ML350 Nov. 1st...What Will MB Charge For Wear & Tear?
My ML350 is in good condition, with minor scratches here and there. I also had a chip in the windshield repaired but it's slightly noticeable. Just wondering if anyone has turned in their MB lease?
Does MB try to nickel and dime you for every little thing? How much did you end up paying to turn it in?
I know I have a $500 turn in fee.

I returned an 07 E350 about a year ago. No issues with nickel and dimeing me. Car had a scratch on the rear bumper which they didn't comment on. I think unless you have a dent or very noticible scratch your okay. Make sure the windshield is dirty when you turn the car in!

I have had 4 MB's turned in and have 2 currently on lease. I have never been charged for a thing, even those that I thought that I would be charged for. they are quite specific as to the size aof a dent or scratch with their credit card test. (the card they give you is slightly smaller than a std credit card. I do believe they may get you for the windshield. Scratches, etc on the bumper are not chargable. Damaged wheels or tires with cord showing are chargeable. They did away with the inspection company they used to use and are now relying on a dealer inspection at the turn in dealer.

Thanks for the replies to everyone else!
I remembered that I bought "Wear & Tear" insurance to cover any of these items upon turning in the vehicle. I'm covered for up to $5K and the SUV is in perfect condition anyhow. No kids helps!
I do have the spot on the windshield but I'm covered by my insurance - if they catch it. I'm also willing to sell the SUV for $34K (it's almost fully loaded - every option except Distronic and Pano - if that's an option on the ML's???) if anyone else is interested. Otherwise, I'll be turning it in November 1st.
