Suspension Help

Guys, i know a few weeks back, i said i was going to get the Range Rover Sport. Well change of plans, im scared to get another car that could have problems and i badly want a benz because i am very close with my local benz dealer. any problem i have, they will help me immediately, and you cant put a price on that.

so i have already established that i want an 09 ML550, they are out there and some really good deals as well. my question is, is the suspension different from the ml350? is it standard or an option? i am really confused on the differences between both and i have looked all over benz websites and got nothing. the 350 suspension is to minivan like for my driving. when i go build an 2010 ml550, there is no option for airmatic or abc or any suspension change. i am confused on whats what here. any help would be great

In Canada, Airmatic is standard equipment on the ML550. You sure it's not where you are?

On the ML550 for 2010 Airmatic is not standard. It is a "special order" option. There is a small special order fee, the airmatic cost and the adaptive suspension cost. Believe you can order this on the 350 also but not certain. I have it on my 2010 ML550 and its well worth it. Had it on my 06 ML500 also.

but i am looking to buy an 09 ml550. i cant afford a brand new one. does this mean the suspension is the same on the 09 350 and 09 550 unless its an option on one of the cars?

I believe the standard suspension on the ML350 and ML550 are essentially the same. There may be some minor differences to compensate for the additional engine weight but they result in the same ride quality and characteristics. Try to find an Airmatic 09 if you can. They are not real common but you might luck out.
