heater question

hi guys, now that the weather is cooler, I notice that there is a huge difference betwenn 76 degree on the dial and say 72. 72 is cool, 76 is warm, major difference. Any idea? 74 is cool too. What I am trying to say is that there seems not to be heat in the car until 76 degrees. this normal or an I overlooking something?

Thanks,

Vince
