Dust Filter
Seems to me that the B service includes alot of "checking" various things but the only things that seem to get replaced are the oil, fleece filter and cabin dust filter.
I wonder if anyone can give me a clue as to how difficicult this is to replace and where it's located.
Is this a DIY or dealer job. Appreciate your input. Thanks

It is very DIY.....the filters are behind the glove box. Four screws total to remove the entire box.
There is a plastic cover on the end of the dash towards the door.....firm pressure will take it off to reveal 1 of the four screws. The rest are right there. The filters just drop in after that.
Be careful when removing the final screw as to not let the glove box just drop if you have Ipod integration or an AUX input jack....there is a quick release clip to disconnect the wires.
My dealer carries an antibacterial spray for the ventilation system that worked nicely....called "fridgy-fresh". It left a fresh smell in the car for a few days then went to neutral.

Great, thanks.
I'm looking on line to order. You mention "filters" in your post. Are there more than one?

2 filters that go side by side. Also be careful with the position of the glove box screws. The lengths are critical so be sure they go back in the same order, otherwise your 6 disc cd player wont refit.

yes sir...2. Thety sit side by side. You can double check yours from under the hood.
On the passenger side at the firewall, pop the 2 clips on the top of the box with the mesh like screen on it. Lift out the front of the box and that will expose the cabin filters. You cannot change them from that side though....they slide in from the glovebox side.
