2010 ML350 Blutooth & Rear A/C Question
Hey all -
New here - just bought my first benz a few days ago (came over from the bmw world). In any case, when I do bluetooth w/ my iphone in the car, the contacts show up as last name, first name - is there anyway to change that?
Also, as far as the rear a/c is concerned. It doesn't seem to blow at all. I've tried pretty much everything, but i'm a newb so maybe i'm just an idiot.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jordan

Yes I believe you can change the address book but I think you must do it with the I Phone. Re load your I Phone and as I recall it gives you the option of how it will read out. Then reload your Command after deleting the original address book. As for the rear a/c, are you certain the "rear off" is not engaged?? Its one of the buttons that are in the rt side knob

I too had the I Phone issue and corrected it. At this point for the life of me I can't remember how I did it. As I said I think I recall doing something with the I phone but am not certain. Keep trying perhaps you will stumble on to something or maybe someone else will jump in here.

Do this in your iPhone, in case you haven't done it yet.
Goto Settings->Mail,Contacts,Calendars-> Scroll down to contacts and select the sort order and display order to First,Last.

Sorry no other ideas, that should have worked. When you did it did the book in your phone come up as it had been or reversed?? It should have reversed itself. Perhaps you should try clearing it out and then starting from scratch and reloading it with the "reversed" settings then downloading to the command after clearing it out.

Interesting, post as I have both iphone and a HTC diamond. The contact list on the iphone itself displays alphabetically by first name. The HTC Diamond is set to display contacts by last name. Now when paired up to the Bluetooth they get displayed on the command screen opposite from the devices.
I don’t have a solution to your post but someone might come up with the added information.

Hey... long time MB owner, first time poster.
I'm having the exact same issue with my iPhone (iOS 4.3). I've always had my phone set to First Name, Last Name and my 2011 ML is reversing it to Last Name, First Name.
This kinda makes the voice command useless when I just want to call Bob.
I know it's been a few months and wondering if anyone has figured this out yet?
