Magnaflow X-Pipe
Since it seems like no one has done this to a W164, I decided to go ahead and try it out. I recently had my resonators removed and a magnaflow x-pipe installed with the stock mufflers. I have some pictures but, no video yet. I will try to get one up as soon as I can. I would like a throatier sound though, thinking about replacing the mufflers as well. Possibly magnaflow or Kleemann mufflers. Anyone have any ideas or any suggestions?

The sound is a little bit throatier than the stock but, not as much as I would like. That's why I'm considering replacing the stock mufflers as well. I will try to post a vid this weekend. Thanks for your input, might just go with the magnaflows since it is a 'bit' cheaper. I do have a 500, so it will sound good, hopefully.

Here's a short vid of the exhaust with the resonator removed and replaced with an X-pipe. I will try to post another vid with take off.

I wish more was out there for the ML350. I don't want an annoyingly loud, droning exhaust- bust sometimes I wish it sounded a little throatier. Even like a G35/37.

I removed the resonators on my 550 and if anything it the sound got deeper by 5-10%.
Don't expect anything drastic. If you want a deep/loud sound you have to change the cans.
