ML350 Cargo Cover

does anyone have problem with the cargo cover making squeeking noise when the car is on bumpy road?

i think the squeeky noise come from the retracable spring?

On my 4th ML and all had and have cargo covers. Never had a squeak from one. Complain to your dealer perhaps he can replace it.

pulled-out: tiny squeeky
rolled-in: no noise

i have confirmed this tiny squeek came with the design.
the only way to avoid this squeek is get MB to re-design the cover assembly.

OR......

let me try to collect covers from various SUV's and see if any one of them could fit in the ML......

I have the same issue with my ML350 2011. It is really unfixable? Please let us know if you find any solution to resolve the issue.

I am on my second ML350. Had an 06 and currently have an 09. I use the cargo cover all of the time on both and I have never experienced any kind of squeeks or noises wheather it is retracted or not. I will admit I usually have the radio on but I am usually intune and aware of any kind of squeek or noise I hear. If you take the cover out, do you still hear the squeek. Just curious if you still hear the noise with the cover removed.

After two visits and issue duplicating, at local MB dealer, cargo cover was ordered and next day replaced. No more squeaky noise.

You sure it's from hatch cover? Mine turned out to be rear seat hinge. Some WD-40 fixed that.
