I followed the instructions from the manual. I was able to remove the black cover by turning it counter-clockwise, but now I can not budge the bulb from the housing.

I turned it counter-clockwise, as per the manual, and also tried clockwise, to no avail. Do I need to turn harder, or is there a clip I need to remove first? Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.

Its such a tight space that if the bulb gasket is stuck that you will likely have to swear a few times....if you are following the manual then just keep at it and try to wiggle the bulb while you twist...one thing i do when i have to change bulbs is to use a tiny bit of silicone spray on the gasket surface as well as the seating surfaces on the locking rings before reassembly....dont spray it on directly, spray it on a paper towel and wipe the whole gasket surface then install...next time it will pop right out without the swear words

 

The drivers side is a little tougher to reach but you just grab it at the base of the bulb harness and twist counter clockwise.....the key is the metal ring, it is very specific to which side is up when re-installing.

 

Well, i received the bulbs i ordered and was finally able to install them. I had to turn the bulb and harness 'hard' counterclockwise and it came out.
