ml550 opinions
A friend of mine is interested in buying an '08 ml550 with 18,000 miles. It has been a couple of years now so I was hoping to get some more information from ml550 owners who can give me their long-term experiences, opinions, potential problems, etc... When I did a search, the information seemed scarce because not too many people had them. thanks in advance.

2010 ML550, 2010 E350 4M, 1966 Corvette Convt C2
My current 10 ML550 is essentially the same vehicle. ave had it a year now andf not one issue. Its going into the dealers tomorrow for the first time for a routine service. The 06 ML500 I had before this one I drove for 4 years and during that time it also was in for nothing but routine services.

My wife's 2008 ML550 with 19,000 miles drives very well. Love that V8. So far, after 31 months, no problem. Her lease will end on 10/31/2010. Spoke to MB Financial Services, they will not budge on the residual of $39,500. She thinking about the 2011 X5 for her next lease.

Two thumbs up for mine. 
Love that V8 torque. As Western Airlines used to say, it's the only way to fly. I had an issue with the left door handles coming loose early on (a known issue and one that only affects the left side handles) and then there was that one day the keyless go started all by itself (really, I have witnesses), but it has never happened again. This car has had far fewer issues than the Lexus Lx470 that it replaced.

Buy a 550!

I have never owned a car that has given me such acceleration, touring pleasure and security - though the tires are lucky to make it past 20K miles!. The V-8, to me, makes all the difference in this model.
