Anyone with Insight on pre-paid Maintenance option?
Does anyone have any insight on the pre-paid maintenance option. Is it worth it, or are they just selling me another expensive option. The cost is about $1200 for 3 years or 30,000 miles. The finance guy told me I would spend over $1500 in routine maintenance over the first 3 years of ownership. Seems high but I saw the A / B/ A service that is "recommended" and they certainly add up. The list of things they do during each A or B service is long but when you actually read it, it amounts to a bunch of "check this and check that"....no actually replacemnt parts. I (my wife now) has an X5 and everything is covered...including the new rotors and brakes they just put on.
I would appreciate anyone's comments.
Irrespective, I pick up my new 2011 ML550 tonight at the dealership. I'm excited. I will post pictures in the next couple of days. Thanks to all who helped me decide on options.

I can't seem to locate current prices, but as I recall it was $785 for a 350. The price you were quoted seems high even for the V8..
You can call this number, 1-800-FOR-MERCEDES, to verify the MBUSA price. I recall reading that many dealers will discount the MBUSA price about 10%.
Most of the early scheduled maintenance items are pretty easy for a DIY'er if you're so inclined. Also note that maintenance frequency is 10k miles OR 12months.
