Am I getting a good deal for 2011 4matic?
Hello,
I am in the market to lease 2011 ML350 4Matic. The dealer quoted me $1500 down with $660. The car comes with 4wd and P1 package and silver. I am not sure if I can get it cheaper or with more options if I negotiate. What do you guys think? Do you think I can negotiate to even better terms? The car itself costs $49,500 and with taxes, it comes to around $57,000
I live in in San Jose area where tax rate is 9.25%

dont even bother. mercedes is garbage. the reliability on these MLs is horrible
they still have glitches that mercedes has found "fixes" for but failed to implement in new models. you'll find yourself having to take your ML in to fix things that could have been fixed at the factory.
get a lexus.

To be fair.........
dont even bother. mercedes is garbage. the reliability on these MLs is horrible
they still have glitches that mercedes has found "fixes" for but failed to implement in new models. you'll find yourself having to take your ML in to fix things that could have been fixed at the factory.
get a lexus.

i mean, why cant there be a beep when you lock and unlock the door? to save 25 cents?
why did the transmission jerk for so long?
and to top it all off... my local dealership is full of egomaniacs that look down on anyone not in an AMG

Hello,
I decided to buy the ml350 black, P1 package for $50,000. After TTL, it came out to be around $58,000 I don't know if I received a good deal if I waited till end of December. What do you guys think? Do you think I got a decent deal?

So because there is no beep when you lock the car and because your local dealer is a jerk you tell others that Mercedes is garbage? Your comment about too many glitches is not valid since these appeared in early w164s and have been fixed. I have a 2008 ML 350 and it has been flawless. I assume most of them are flawless that's why Mercedes keeps selling so many. If you want a totally uninspiring driving experience by all means buy a Lexus.

With your third problem, no design is perfect, it has been recalled and fixed for free. But if you're hinting that you live in Canada and they won't replace it. If it was recalled everywhere except there, than obviously the design or manufacturer of the plugs is different and not susceptible to the same issue. It sounds like you should maybe just bring your car to a different dealer. Just be glad that your Mercedes stops and doesn't accelerate on its own like the toyota... Errrr, I mean lexus...

I bought my 09 ml350 4matic with p2(includes keyless go and parktronic), lighting, full leather(includes wood steering wheel). The MSRP was 58,920, dealer gave me 50,920 because I wanted to buy a GLK350 but they don't have the options I wanted. I think you can get at least 5000 off msrp since the redesigned w166 is coming this fall.

That's right. The MLs have more problems than the other models. A 07 ML550 loaded MSRP around 70k out the door now sells for <33k. This I am telling based on real life experience. You may want to buy a used one and save some $ for a smaller Toyota / Lexus for grocery shopping kind.
