2011 ML350 bluetec right choice?

Upgraded my lease from a 2008 c300 to a 2011 ML350 bluetec.. Wanted the ml due to more room and got it for the same monthly price as my c300.. Didn't really research beforehand.. Did I make a mistake on purchasing the diesel.. I like torque and better mileage.. But don't know much about it.. Thanks for ur input guys!

If its your first diesel of any kind it might take you a bit of getting used to as its certainly a different drive than a gas motor. I love mine and my next MB will be another diesel as well.If you do any towing, you will be amazed.Enjoy.

His 2019 RAM Cummins Turbo Diesel Laramie; Her's 2007 ML320 CDI P3; Mine BMW R1200R
I permanently switched to diesel vehicles in 2004. Had a Dodge Ram first, and then bought my ML CDI new in '07.
Best thing I ever did for my transportation needs. Awesome mileage, very little required service as compared to a gas, lots of turbo power whenever my right foot calls for it. Never had an issue finding fuel, but I would recommend adding some brand of diesel additive if you live in a cold area. Power Service is the brand I like.

For the most part, most of us diesel owners are happy and enjoy ownership. Its also fun when you give someone a ride, and after several miles watch the baffled look on their faces when you tell them they have been riding in a diesel. Quiet, fast and 30MPG, which should be about 700 miles per fill up!!

Sounds like I made the right choice too. I took a delivery of a 2011 bluetec a weeks ago. It accelerates slow but when it is at speed, it drives like a gasoline suv.

I love my diesels, too, but they get a new fuel filter every 20K miles while a gas ML needs one only every 60K miles and spark plugs only every 100K miles and everything else is the same. And, if you have a 2009-on ML, the urea every so often is more "maintenance," too. It's all worth it.

I'll will give the diesel strong consideration when I replace my '06 ML350 with a '12. Wish we had the option of the 420 CDI like elsewhere.

I am just about to return my 08 ML lease and was thinking about a ML Diesel, is it a 2 wheel drive or 4matic?
my dealer told me that they just came out with a great lease for the diesel, he also said that he did not have the numbers for the diesel yet, (how dealer BS is that). Would you please tell me what the deal was or PM me if you like.

We've had ours 2 years and 40,000 miles. Love it. Great torque, especially in the mountains, comfortable, and good fuel economy. It's my wife's daily driver, and we almost always take it on the road rather than my SL55. We were prepared to buy a GLK, but drove the ML at the last minute. No comparison. The ML is much quieter, rides better and has way more torque.

I dont understand why MB doesnt offer their V8 diesel stateside. Over 300 hp ML diesel would be nice.
