Drop???

I have an ML350 and i want to drop it to give it a more aggressive stance, and maybe add some bigger wheels. I've been told that H&R are pretty good, and i also was told about the Lorinser

I think it depends on what size of wheels you want to get. I also wanted to lower my ML, but after changing the wheels to 285/35/22, I decided not to lower the car, otherwise the ride would be too stiff..

Yes and I have had no real problems with the stock shocks. I have a friend that has worked at Bilstein for many years and I may invest in some shorter sport shocks this comming summer, we will see.

I dont have any real good pics right now, I love how much more direct the ML feels also in and out of the curves and how stable she is at high speeds on the Autobahn. Off the top of my head the front is 35mm and the rear is 45mm lower which also allows you to keep the stock shocks installed.

Thanks for the reply how many miles is on your ML? I have about 75k on ours. Just wondering if that is too many miles to put springs on.

I was thinking about this also for improved handling and a better look but would sure like to see some pictures and know a little more beforehand. I checked out the hrsprings web site and this change will result in almost a two inch (1.9) drop at the front and an inch and a half drop at the rear. Also, if it is going to alter the ride significantly; e.g., much stiffer I would like to hear from those of you who have done this. I like the stock ride I have but it is kind of a pain for the wife and myself to get in and out of the vehicle. Hard to believe with a two inch drop at the rear you can stay with stock shocks but I guess so since AMG60C says he hasn't had a problem.

I just took some quick pics of my ML with the H&R springs, it was getting dark out so they are not the best. I am not sure on how to load them up on this thread but I do have them on my photo album under AMGC60-3.

AMG60, thanks for posting the pics. From what I can see looks good. Daytime pic would be better if you get the chance. How did it change the ride? Spent six years in Europe; Germany and Italy. I sure miss the autobahns and autostradas! Have fun!!!
