ML Bluetec Spare Tire Carrier
Anyone seen this yet? No need for runflats anymore? But, this will likely be an add-on option, as you will have to pay for the mount, spare tire, and extra wheel. Looks good though. I'd opt for it.

IMO I would personally go with the solution other companies who dont use spare tires but also use regular tires have gone with. A small portable 12v compressor and a few cans of ''flat fix''.

Now that you mention it, the lights in the bumper cover appear to be Euro spec. I'm going to see if I can talk to the "owner" (presume MB employee, as there are a lot here) and see what they say about it. Is this future US application or just a Euro test vehicle?

Neither--it's been a Euro option since the inception of the W164.
It's not sold in the USA because it violates USA safety regulations having to do with getting the tailgate open in an emergency.
Yes, the lights in the bumper have bulbs in them when this option is fitted.
