'11 ML350
The sidewall profile isn't going to be your issue. I have 265/45/20 tires on my '11 350 from the factory. Depends on what width you're going to use and if it might protrude beyond the fender, AND whether it will clear inside steering and suspension parts. Speedo error could also be an issue if there's too much variance from the original wheel/tire combo.

I'm planning to put OEM ML63 AMG rims on mine 350, just looking for a close to stock ride comfort and noise and direct fit without any modding. What do you suggest?

265 45 R20 or 275 40 R 20 or 285 40 R20 would be good choices. I believe oem offset is 60, which means your new rims will stick out 14mm compared to your old ones. I suggest 265 or 275, because I found it's kind of difficult to accelerate after I changed to 285 tires because they are too wide for ML350.

I have 285/40 on 20" chrome AMG rims installed on a 2010 ML550. The wheels look great without any significant overhang from the fenders. No change in speedometer readings either.

I had the stock 20" AMGs w/ 295/40s on my ML350 and they fit fine. Did protrude a little more than OEM. Pics in this thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/m-class-w...egular-ml.html
