ML63 AMG wheels

Has anyone upgraded their standard ML with the ML63 wheels? I'm wondering if anyone has, and could share their real world experiance on the changes...such as handling and comfort changes.

I have the 20"x8.5" 5 spoke AMG wheels on my ML550 currently, but I'd like a set of the ML63 AMG's in the 20x10, or 21x10 for wider 295 summer tires.

In my experiance with my other cars, upgrading to wider and bigger wheels/tires has always dropped my mpg ~1-2.

Thanks

I'm thinking that won't be necessary. The factory 8.5 width wheels are tucked in as is already. They could stand being more flush with the fenders.

Yes, I've installed the AMG accessory wheels in 20x10, running 295/40/20 tires on my ML550. As long as you use genuine AMG rims with their correct offsets, you can get by without needing to install the fenderwell arches, although let's just say the front wheels/tires are "flush".

This set-up looks great, but as you suspect, you will sacrifice some ride comfort versus the 19's. The flip side is that the vehicle feels more stable with the monster wheel set-up mounted. To me, 20's just look right on the ML550.
