2007 ML 350
Brake Wear alert

Newb here.
Just got this car handed down to me
It's a ML350 2007
I'm getting an alert that only says "Break Wear"
I'm assuming I need to replace the break pads
What else do I need to replace?
I've read online about break sensors and what not but I don't know how many I need.
I also heard that I need to replace each rotor.
Can someone help me out?

thanks

You only need to replace the rotors if they are down to the minimum thickness.

Re the pads, they are easy enough to change and you will have to replace the sensors as they are of the 2 wire type and a lead has been cut, not sure as to how many sensors there are but many cars just have one back and one front
