Smile Traded up to a '11 ML350 last week! Pics Inside

Got a '11 C300 sport last september, while I loved it, I finally convinced my parents to trade it in for me so I could get an SUV. (Safety/Airbag speech works wonders on my mom haha!) Anyways, just got this '11 ML 350 RWD last saturday from MB Laguna Niguel and negotiated a killer deal since the '12's are starting to come in MSRP 52,xxx (Paid 43k). Black/Black with P1, running boards, rear seat entertainment pre-wiring, and heated seats. It's incredible how much better built this tank feels than the C. Took some pics today even though it rained and the car isn't clean. Enjoy!

Congrats on your new car. I am thinking to do the same thing. How do you like the handling and acceleration comparing to C?

Coming from the C300 with stock continental's and 18'' AMG's it's weird to say, but I almost feel more in control when going on turns at higher speeds (like freeway ramps/connections) in the ML for some reason. Also, acceleration probably is poorer on the ML but I haven't really noticed it. I didn't get the car to race people in, same with C300.. If I do need a little burst of power on the freeway however, the paddle shifters deffinantely improve the situation. For the weight of this SUV, the engine looks really underpowered when keeping in thought that other "350" models are powered by the same engine with a lot less weight; but it's actually adequate once you drive it. Hope that helped! Btw, I've never driven an ML550 but if your looking for better acceleration and handling, It would probably conquer both from what I'd imagine.

Thanks for the very helpful insight. I really like the styling of the Ml better than the C and overall I think it is a better car. The only thing I don't like is the lack of command knob. I wish it had the newer command system .

Actually, that is probably one of my only complaints. Mostly only when I'm scrolling through a playlist of 100+ songs just to get to the bottom and I have to press the down button forever haha. Also, I feel that for a 52-53k sticker price, xenon lights should come standard.. But that's a problem across the entire lineup, not just the ML haha
