Hey guys,

Did any of you receive the navigation disk when you purchased your car? My brother just got a 2011 ML350 4matic and it doesn't have it.

 

We just picked up our ML Grand Edition.
The Nav DVD was in the glove-box.

Does it have the NAV option? You can have COMAND without NAV.

 

Yes. It has premium 1 package that includes nav option. He called his dealer and they told him it is a hard drive system and does not have a disk. Simply BS.

 

How is that BS? While it may make updates more difficult, it will be far faster than a dvd. Updates could also be easier since they could be sent via sirius or mbrace. Either our 2011 has no dvd as well or it was already inserted by the dealership when we picked it up.

 

I think this is why they might give us BS. Every car I got with navigation has had the map disk included.

I just checked navtaq and there is no update available there as well.

 

my 2009 c350 did not come with a nav cd/dvd, it was hard drive based, and to do an update it has to go back to the dealership to be done

so it could be the same for your 2011

so I don't think there is any BS involved

and yes my C350 was brand new, with the MM package, pop up screen etc......
