2007 ML rust issues

Just noticed on mine that the bolts that secure the headlamps and fenders had some rust discoloration, so I figured I would remove them and clean them up. All had major rust damage underneath, and the headlamp bolt by the windshield filler bottle actually snapped in two.
Decided to check the doors, as someone on the M63 forum posted about having to replace them, and lo and behold I found bubbling under the paint by the vertical seems on the inside door's edge.
The truck is 4 years old, washed and professionally waxed frequently.
Would advise all to check this on yours, and get repaired pronto.

Do you drive in winter with treated roads? Very harsh on even the best protection.

In which case Mercedes should only sell their vehicles to people in Texas or advise customers not to take them out in sub zero weather

Or use a beater for the winter, and save the benz for the summer. I don't know of any car that will not do that in salt/slush conditions.... you can't fight entropy

It is my beater

Besides, take a look the ML63 thread, then check Brisbane's climate.....nearly as good as yours, so the subject of entropy is a moot one

Production issue, that MB are happy to address.
