I purchased was for the 09-11 hard drive models.........The download took over 1hour and 20 minutes...........so clearly more content and upgraded POI icons such as gas stations..............I'm happy with it.............the operating system looks the same................

Just so everyone knows, if you upgrade to a newer version you can't go back to the prior version. Why would you care you ask? I m sure you probably wouldn't care but if lets say you borrowed a friend's DVD and inserted it to yours to see what's different with new version and see if it is worth it for you to purchase. Once your COMAND reads that DVD it automatically upgrades to the new map version. When you give the DVD back and insert your old one then you get an error message.

Also, any upgrade is with respect to map content and POI's. It does nothing to the NAV firmware.

no need to go back, at least not for me, and I need the map upgrade and POI's, my 2007 is missing many streets, half the time it shows me as though I am floating in mid air.....it's like Mercedes Airlines......

If the missing streets are not brand new developments or roads then chances are the new map will also not have them. I have experienced it.

I agree, but the streets that don't show up in my ML, did show up in my 2010 C350, this would lead me to believe a newer Nav disc would have them as well ?

Product just received from Eugene.....

install took 5 min, updated software, and I have streets that were not there before, this is a good thing...

I have only had it for about 5 min so far, but have no issues as of yet, will report back if any problems, but I don't expect any....update worked, so that is the biggest hurdle, and it's reading as I am driving, so this is a good thing....

Mine stopped reading after 20 minutes or so consistently once it got hot so I reburned it. Haven't tried the new one yet for a long period but worked out of the box. They are finicky.

Well I am giving it a day or so, and if it works, then I will have no issues and payment will be on it's way, I don't have a long commute, so I might have to wait until the weekend to really test it out and go for a good drive.

I will report my findings

if it works the way it is now, I will be pleased

I hope it stays working, as I don't think we can go back to the old DVD now that it has upgraded itself.........

On Sunday I will take a longer trip for a definite check.
