jack stands

I searched & searched. Where have folks placed the jackstands on (06) ML350. When I remove the lower engine cover- can I place it under that brace? By the time I place floor jack in the correct sill jacking point- no room for stands.

I placed my jack stands at the pick-up points at the rear of the front suspension for the front.

That was all.

Mine broke when jacking up the car, jacked just popped out(the pole grinding on the gears)
