dashcam mount
Hi, I want to try my ipod touch as a dashcam but most windshield mounts angles are not quite right for this. I am thinking of a dash bean bag like garmin uses. Has anyone tried this? Do they stay on the dash?

I have a dedicated Blackvue camera mounted infront of the mirror. The supplied lead fits along the windscreen edge, down the doortrim, under the carpet and only appears as it fits into the plug at the rear of the centre console. Works perfectly (even when parked) and does not appear to be desireable to the undesirables in your neighborhood.

Mine is the DR300G.
I believe it has been cool to touch - not that I have touched it often.
But I do have the IR resistant glass, which may help it stay cool.
And despite being in the midst of an Australian summer, so far we had snow last month with the -15C windchill waxing the fuel.
Tomorrow the forecast is back to normal +37C but I am driving the other car.
