Help needed with 06 ML500

Does anyone have a good DIY for replacing the rotors on a 06 ML500?

Also is there anything special that needs to be done before replacing the brakes or is it like any other American and VW brakes? I have the pads rotors and sensors.

Thanks for the help!

It's a very simple DIY. Just make sure that the E-brake is off when you remove the rear rotors, and have a cord or coat hanger to hold the calipers so as not to stress the brake lines.

Just make sure that you use quality rotors. The dealer had put new (very cheep) rotors on before we bought ours, and they didn't take material very well causing a very bad vibration when the brakes were applied. I changed out all four rotors with a set of Brimbo's.

Thanks for the info. Do the rotors just come right off when you remove the caliper? (Just like a VW or american car would?)

Yep, just remove the caliper an a few light taps with a plastic hammer or like mine were junk I uses a steel hammer to knock them loose. Make sure to take time to clean up the hub so as not to cause any wobble.
