W164 issues? 07 ML 500
Just got an 07 ML500 with 35k miles. I have been reading about an issue with the differential (or transmission?) with these cars. Service history does not show a repair.
Build date is 12/06.
Should I be concerned?
Are there any known issues with the model?

You'll be fine, but buy an extended warranty if you haven't already.
If your car has never been to the repair shop for anything other than basic service you should be rock solid. The trans and differential problems occur mostly during the lower miles of the cars. If they haven't failed by 35k you should be fine.
In other words, you don't CURRENTLY have a problem. If the trans or diff starts to have problems down the line, that I can't tell you obviously, but you should be fine right now. The trans and diff on these cars don't just break overnight, they show symptoms like funny shifts, no power to front wheels for a split second, etc.
You should just drive the car, it isn't worth worrying about. However, I do suggest an extended warranty.

My early 07 E550 4Matic had a transfer case problem that MB replaced under warranty at 35K. Watch for what feels like front wheel "skipping/hopping" when you make a very tight turn. If its doing that you've probably got a problem. At least that's how I noticed mine.
