I think the ambers need to be removed from the blacked out housings, but other than that it isn't all that bad. It's MUCH better than taking chrome and going hog wild.
Harsh ?? No way. The OP asked for opinions and he got mine. Actually I tempered the opinion as its just plain ugly. Sickening actually, that someone without any taste would go to that effort to ruin a great vehicle.

Yes the black wheels jump right out at me and are in fact the worst but not the only part of the ugly mods. Quite frankly I do not see any of the other mods that are attractive to me or enhance the vehicle.

I will not be as harsh, every one to his own but since you asked ................ I have to agree in my opinion you ruined a very nice vehicle.

Thanks mate. I do feel bad about the blacked out stock rims. Was my mistake. But i'm only 20. I don't want any old classic wood and those chrome trims. Since chrome fits better on my GL and not on my ML. Maybe it will look better after I change my wheels. But the roads here are still icy and slippery. And what do you mean by removing amber?

I thought my carbon grille, Grande edition style headlamp, and carbon trims were a nice touch.

I agree with the stock rims. And also there is nothing to worry cuz i can remove the carbon wrap anytime i want.

Maybe the carbon pillars are a bit too much. Should i make them black matte? I have to do something on them. Because behind that the original pillar is full of scratches and looks even worse.

I will also post some pictures of my rims and you guys vote for them.

I will only post my 20's and 22's.

Since you're a man of good taste, enlighten us by pointing out it's downfalls.

EDIT: Did not see your post above.

Go for the AMG pillar covers... they are glossy black. I have them on mine and I think they blend in very well with the tinted windows.

I like the Black wheel thing, clean them up some and take better pics. They do look better than what you had before.

Yup. Looks better!

About the wheels: I love black wheels. I have them on my SL (see signature pic), but on my ML i left them silver (for whatever reason, I cannot explain). But I like 'em black!

Never had black wheels until this last Saturday, so far I am very happy with them.
