ML550 Exhaust Want LOUDER NOISE
So I am wondering, I love the sound of my ML550, 2008, and it just doesn't seem to have any sound outside of the traditional V8 roar when under acceleration, or when properly downshifting with flappy paddles, so... Can I delete the resonators, do anything to the stock exhaust to make it sound better without sacrificing performance, and/or gas milage, not that I care about that but just curious if this will affect it? Also, I've heard of people doing Res Deletes ?? (explanation please)... and running flowmaster exhausts... What have any of you done to the 08' model year without spending to much money with stock exhaust?
Thanks
Thanks

I had the two center resonators replaced with Stainless Steel pipes. We don't have secondary cats so nothing we can do there to gain some performance or noise.
I deleted the resonators and it cost me ~$180 and 2 hours time. It can be done for much cheaper, but I went to the only shop I trust.
It sounds a bit louder during normal driving(not that noticeable when not on the gas), but any time you open up the taps it's much deeper and louder. Honestly though, if I were to sell my ML550 today to someone who has a stock one they wouldn't notice it enough to even have it looked at. It sounds exactly how it should have from the factory, a touch louder but still no drone.
Another option would be to buy some ML63 mufflers or the whole exhaust used.

any help in locating the replacement ones and what I will do is delete the mufflers in the back and from what I hear, that is the way to go. Keep or replace the resonator with an AMG one or aftermarket compatible one.
Thoughts?
anyone else can help that would be appreciated.
