2006 ML350 A/C Blows hot intermitently.
Hello MB world forums. I need help, my wifes A/c is blowing hot air intermitently. It will blow cold for a couple of minutes than go warm for 5 minutes more or less. It seems to occur when outside temperature is 84+ degrees, on very hot an humid days and it is consistent hot weather permitting. One mechanic siad it might be air control unit in dash. I already recharged the freon that was the first thing I thought of but it did nothing. Compressor the mechanic said is workng fine and he does not think it is that. He had it hooked up to a computer and did an analysis of the vehicle and no faults came up, this is an experienced Mercedes mechanic auto shop. Please help the summer is here and my kids are suffering. I don't want to bring into a mechanic again only to be told here is your bill and sorry we dont know where the issue stems from.

It could be the evap. is icing over. Make sure the filter is cleaned. Also, your recharge might have overcharged it and now the pressure switch is cutting the compressor off. One more thing is to make sure the electric fan is cycling properly when the compressor comes on.
