w164 recall

Today I received an "Urgent Recall Notice" from my dealer saying it is the recall #2012070002 Cam Solenoid. Does anyone receive similar recall notice ?

Just had mine done two weeks ago on my ML550, not a big deal at all.

2009 ml 350 84K
2009 ML 350 electrical wiring harness for solenoid of camshaft

Went to dealer for brakes and this was replaced.
I bought the car used so maybe they couldn't find me to mail the recall notice.
There seemed to be no problem

Seals are leaky, and the fix they recommend is to move the harness out of harms (oil) way? That is it? Freaky. One would expect them to have newer seals that do not leak.

Spoke to the dealer/service advisor and he claims he has never seen a ML350 come in with leaky seals as a problem. He is simply going to do what is in the campaign, which is extend the harness.

2011 ML 350
This was a long time ago, but I just had some intake manifold work done on my 2011 ML350 and they told me there is oil in the wiring harness coming from the camshaft solenoids. Now they want over 3 grand to replace the wiring harness. Extra for solenoids which also need replacing.

3 grand for a wiring harness. What are the wires made of - gold?

I've asked for more information such as part numbers.
