Removing rear wiper arm?

2006 ML350

The damaged arm has been removed. What remains is metal insert stuck on wiper arm post. Afraid to pry it off. Suggestions?

Also looking for salvage rear wiper arm to purchase.

Thanks, Willie in Wisconsin

Don't be afraid to pry it off. All you need to do is just rotate the wiper down out from the tab attachment by slightly rotating to remove that little hook at the end out of the hole. Make sure to purchase of what is compatible to your car model.

Try and visit this link for 2006 ML350 auto parts and hope you'll find what you are looking for.

There is a wiper arm puller. Its very similiar to a gear or pulley puller. It has 2 arms and a center bolt you tighten to remove the wiper arm.

Rear wiper arm removal ML320

Thanks, I never would have thought of that to remove a wiper arm. I had a 3 - arm puller and with a little patience and adjustment it worked great!

My wiper arm wouldn't come off at all. I drenched it in WD40, and even bout a rear arms puller, still wouldn't come off. I just took the plunged and used the Dremel. I planned it carefully, I put a towel around the main bolt and rubber gasket underneath so I would go to far with the Dremel. 30 Seconds later off it came off and I put the new arm on.
