Anyone experienced the brief hum/moan during first few feet of reversing? '10 ML AWD
I have a 2010 ML350 4matic with 76k miles and I am experiencing (and have been since purchasing my used ML in January) a brief slight humming noise, that could be considering a moan, upon reversing that appears during the first 15-20 feet of backing up. It occurs briefly and then disappears, not to be heard again since I cycle out of reverse then back.
For example, when backing out of my driveway, I'll definitely hear it once during the first few feet of reversing like I mentioned earlier and then it goes away. If I stop, leaving it in reverse (as if I'm waiting for traffic to pass), then continue in reverse, I won't hear again. If I cycle out of reverse into drive or park then back into reverse, I will hear it again during the first few feet.
I hear it and feel it slightly in the steering wheel. It hasn't gotten worse or improved over time.
Any thoughts or has anyone else experienced the same noise?

Thanks for your reply! I was hoping that since there doesn't appear to be a problem that it was normal. I'm happy that at least one other person has experienced this. Thanks again!
