2011 ML 550 vs 2014 ML 350 Bluetec

2011 ML 550 vs 2014 ML 350 Bluetec
Hey guys - obviously a huge difference. One with tons of power and one with great MPG. We currently have a 2011 ML550, 09 E320 Bluetec & 09 E350 Sport.
I have been so impressed with the mpg performance of my diesel, I was considering getting the '14 ML 350 Bluetec. Question - I already have a diesel in the family.... so, is it worth giving up the 550 performer to go bluetec and new body style?

This is more of a personal preference than a logical decision my friend! If I were to trade in the 550, it will surely be for the AMG or at least a newer 550. As far as the W166 body style goes, to each his own...

You already know the difference between the 550 and Bluetec so in the first place only you can make the decision for yourself, and you are fortunate enough to already have the tools to make an intelligent informed decision.
But while we're on the subject have you seen the new E250 Bluetec? EPA 45 MPG highway? Maybe you would want to keep the 550 and replace the E350?

I have the 11 550
And I love it. Great power and great looks, both things you would be giving up in the W166. Stunning interior, yes, but that is it. I usually switch my Benzes every 4 years and I don't know what to do either, maybe the GLA will be the ticket.
