My wife commented the other days that she sometimes smells exhaust fumes at startup in our 2007 ML 350. Any MB World readers ever hear of a condition like this?

Since CO is an odorless gas I doubt that is what she smells...

A great car nonetheless....153K mi and still rolling fine

Have you checked the valve cover gaskets for leaks? It is pretty common on these engines.

Hi all...the smell turns out to be that the interior air filer needed replaced. As it had not been changed in several years it was pretty much clogged beyond belief....with the new filter the smell is gone!
