Squeaking idler pulley, replaced, still there

I was having some squeaking like a cricket from my upper idler pulley. I know it is that one because i could spray a bit of wd40 on it and it would go away for a few days. At one point it went away for about a month.

I bought a new one and was going to replace it but had the dealer do it since I was having some other things done. Only to find out that the problem is still there.

Do these things require any sort of grease or something? I can't think of why it is doing this.

Take a look at the position of the belt on the belt tensioner pulley. If it is riding at the front edge of the pulley your tensioner is failing and probably causing your noise. You can also look at the front edge of the belt. It will start to turn brown due to excessive friction.

You might be on the money with this, what else can I check to verify that the tensioner is broken?

I had pulley replaced at the dealer along with new belt, power steering pump and reservoir.
It was quiet for month and noise came back. Went back to the dealer and they replaced the belt and noise is gone.
