Wipers Slow - Wiring diagram needed
Hi,
I am the new owner of a 2007 ML350 trying to fix a wiper issue.
Previous owner had complained about wipers being slow and more recently they stopped all together.
I took the wiper linkage off and found that the middle spindle was seized. It is fairly easy to service the spindles by removing a c clip on the bottom then sliding the pin out and greasing it. The seized one was so stuck that not even penetrating oil and a gentle hammer could take it out. I ended up breaking the aluminum casting. I managed to find a good used linkage and have it installed.
Edit - I am stupid. I thought I was getting no power to the motor. Need to close the hood for the wipers to work!
If anyone wants a how to for the linkage replacement I can write it up. Fairly straightforward. I didn't need any kind of puller to get the wiper arms off as mine were fairly loose.
