What color calipers for black ml350?

I have a black ml350 w/ the chrome package. I want to paint my calipers and I can't decide on a color. I am currently thinkin glossy black. I have stock rims and just want some input. I also thought about painting them gray or red.
Think I should pull the trigger and go black?

Some newer Porsches have bright yellow too. I didn't like at first but now I think it looks decent.

Hmmm... yellow would be pretty exotic but a little too flashy i think. Im starting to go back to thinking about red now, anyone else have suggestions?

Red looks very good with a black car, as long as you use high quality glossy paint designed for calipers. Seen too many kids use cheap spray paint that looks horrible.

Alright, red it is, im gonna get the G2 epoxy kit so it definitely comes out top notch. Do you think i need to sand the caliper down to a smooth finish or just clean it up and paint? the calipers have a rough surface stock. The paint is self leveling too.

Personally I would leave them stock. Painting the stock brakes would in my opinion bring unwanted attention. Its not like the brakes are AMG or Brembo. You rarely see people painting stock ML calipers.

I've found in the cars that i've built in the past, a professional touch on small details like calipers goes a long way. You don't see many people paint stock mL calipers because there arent many people that modify these cars in the first place. I think a nice clean job would look quite impressive. You do have a point about attracting too much attention though and I am a bit on the fence still. I am thinking red with a G2 epoxy kit. As long as I do an excellent job on it, i think it will look excellent.

ML63 AMG
Do it! Red! If you didn't have a black ride, I wouldn't be so sure, but with black it just looks so great. Are you gonna put a decal/sticker on as well? If so, consider a coat or two of clear. I have a black ML63 AMG and just had the calipers powder coated (red) with white AMG decals. It made such a difference; many compliments already. The original calipers were a very bland silver which went unnoticed behind the wheels. Now, both the wheels and the calipers really pop. Do it!

my vote would be an understated black. Red just pushes it into the AMG wanna be category. Might as well continue the theme and replace the ML350 badges with AMG 63.

I decided on the red and ordered an epoxy kit so it should come out really nicely. Now only if i could get some warm weather to do this. I will post pictures when its done.

Porsche Calipers are painted for what type they are , Black or use to be black, Stock brakes, Red , S models of whatever car the are on 911, Boxster, Cayman, etc. Silver are on 4WD models. Yellow - Carbon disc models $9K option on most. Though you can order any model with painted calipers $900-4000. depending on model. Mike Valentine (V1 Fame) has Carerra GT that has carbon disc's with Red Calipers, He didn't want the yellow calipers to clash with the Feyance Yellow paint on the car. That's wat you can do with money....
