ML550 '09 tire wear

I have a ML550 2009 and the rear passenger tire wears out faster than the other three tires, even after rotating regularly. I got my last set pro-rated towards my next set, but still I'm getting tires sooner than I should be.

Does anyone have this problem? They say since the rear passenger is the wheel that the power comes from it causes this. Not sure if thats true or not but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Does the wear occur evenly ? What brand/make of tire does this happen and how many miles before you need a replacement ?

wear on the passenger tire is even, this is the 3 set of tires since I bought the car new...has about 65k miles. They're continental dws tires.

I meant, how does the rear passenger tire wear across the thread? Is the inner portion more worn than the outer side? or did you mean the tire simply is more worn compared to the rest of the other three (but wears evenly across the thread).

I ask because i think my rears are wearing faster than the fronts. But in my case, the inner portion of the wheel is wearing 15% faster than the rest of the thread.

My ML550 was just in for an alignment and the tech said that the rears were off 1/4" and they would not adjust any better than that.. We still don't know why it is off that much.

The wear is actually even through the rear passenger tire.

I actually got them aligned at the dealership and this still happens, tire pressure isnt the problem.

so I actually rotate them every 3k miles bc the rear passenger wears so much.

The tech at discount tire says its the rear passenger is where the power comes from so it rotates faster than the rest, but I dont know if theres any truth to that.

Find an alignment shop the local race clubs use and have them take a look at the car.

Racers are into bending and modifying their cars.
Racer favored frame and alignment shops know how to get things strait again.

Dealer are really good at putting new factory parts on factory built cars.
