Weird blinker problem....

I have a problem with the front right turn signal. The large amber light below the headlights stays on constant, even with the ignition off and key removed. I tried to swap left and right side bulbs, but same problem. Only solution to keep the battery from draining was to remove the bulb on the right side.... Now of course I get the error message right turn signal bulb defective. Any ideas?

I think you are absolutely right. My stepdaughter had spilled laundry detergent under the seat.... So looks like water/liquid damage to the SAM. I pulled out the battery and cleaned out the compartment as best as I could. I suspect the SAM is the rather large box towards the right of the battery? How do you remove it? Does the seat need to come out? It looks like it goes under the seat rails. Is there any chance of cleaning out and drying the SAM or is all lost? What cost am I looking at?
