2010 ML350 Remote won't lock
I've used the Search function, but can't find any info on my situation above. So if this has already been posted, please be kind
Anyhow, this just happened this morning. The remote won't LOCK the doors! It will unlock, open/close the tailgate, and start the engine.
Unfortunately I can't test with the 2nd key until later this evening. Until then, you guys have any idea what may be causing this?
Thanks.

Possibly some dirt under the lock button. Hold the key near drivers door IR receiver, hold unlock down and see if windows roll down, then hold lock button and see if windows roll back up.. If they roll back up, then it might be something in SAM module of receiver, if they dont, then it would appear the lock button contact in remote is dirty or worn..

Thanks for the help.
Here's what happened when I went to the ML:
On the 1st attempt to lock the ML, it locked!
I held-down the unlock button, and all the windows opened without any issues.
I held-down the lock button, and... nothing happened
Released and held-down again, and... all windows moved up 1-inch and stopped.

Released and held-down LOCK button, and all windows moved up 1-inch and stopped again!!!
Went through this exercise for about 5-min. The windows eventually closed without any issues.
I guess there's dirt underneath the button then?

It's definitely a remote button issue.
Tested both keys; one after the other. Didn't have any issues with the 2nd key. I doubt it matters much, but the "failing" remote is the original remote, while the second is a less-than 1-year old; the Mrs lost the original 2nd key
Thanks again for the "test" you provided. The Mrs and I didn't know the remotes could open/close the windows.
