I am a new owner of a 2011 ML350 and so far im a very happy owner. I do have some changes I would like to make to the vehicle that I wish were done standard but is what it is.

LED DRL's to replace the fogs: I've ben searching the internet for a good set here. One of the things I am not clear on however, is if I buy a set of the LED's to replace the fog lights, is there a way to have them run all the time? I am wanting this to be like my 2013 C-Class that always has them on. Here is the set im currently considering pulling the trigger on:

LED Tail Lights: I've had far less luck locating a good set of these. I want it to be similar to the ML63, but thus far all I can find is people selling a left or a right, never set. Any help appreciated!!

Finally, My 2013 C-Class I seem to be able to find all sorts of accessories readily available for it. The ML not so much. Any good sites for this vehicle?

Any DRL LED set you buy aftermarket like those you find on ebay or the ones you linked will run fulltime. So that answers your first question.

Yours is a 2011. After 2009 all W164 ML's came with LED tail lights. So should yours. So why are you looking for a set?

 

Uh..well I just got this 2011, and it does not had the LED's on the back. Which may be explained by the fact that I got a base model. It doesn't have push to start either.

That makes sense why every time I look for LED lights I only see them fitting models up to 2009. With that being said..would the ones saying they fit up to 2009 fit my 2011?

 

Where are you located? I suspect outside of north America cause all 09-11 here came with LED tails.

Since you say yours doesn't then I would get the ones made for 06-08. That would be plug & play.

Even if you found 09-11 rear LED tails they wouldn't work because you would also need the rear SAM to control them.

So get the 06-08. They should just replace what the halogen ones you have. I suspect your stock ones are no different than the 06-08 models.

 

Im headed in to the dealer tomorrow to find out what in the world is going on here. I am located in San Francisco, CA. So what you're saying doesnt line up with what I have. You freaked me out so much I thought the dealer may have sold me an older model as an 11' or something. So I validated the vin. Its absolutely an 11, but it absolutely does NOT have LED's.

 

Then I stand corrected. I had no idea non LED 09-11 models existed.

 

I had a base model 2011 ML without LED. I was going to do the same with my lights. But, I changed the entire car and got a 2011 GL 550. Lol. But a friend of mine got his DRL from an EBAY vendor and had them installed by a MID CITY ENGINEERING autorized dealer who understands theelectronics of a Mercedes.

 

only from 09-11 with lighting package came with LED taillights.
