I'm new to the forum. Got a 2008 ML 350 in August, love the way it feels on the road. My old car is a 99 Lexus GS 300 that was great, but decided to get something in the 2000's. Problem is I keep running down the battery -- somehow I'm not closing the hatchback securely enough. Twice this week walked out to a dead battery, and today the vehicle is locked and won't unlock because the battery is depleted. I've
had to get the vehicle jumped at least five times since I got it. This can't be good for the battery, which my mechanic said was good after testing it 2 weeks ago.

Not familiar with your model, but the Later ML had issues with the back lid locking . It could be tied to it if, the electrical lock malfunction is draining the battery.

Welcome to MBWorld. Grats on the pickup, but sorry for the power drain issue. Have to give that hatch a good slam, but might want to get the locking mechanism checked out as it shouldn't take that much force to shut.
