i bought a dash cam and would like to get a wire from fuse box and come out from the roof rear view mirror area.

I found the fuse allocation chart in this forum. Can I just use the empty slots? ( need to test power for hot or running hot circuits) if someone has done this, please let me know which route they went for sticking the wires inside headliner...etc and whichfuse box you went to ( my guess is the passenger side nx to glove box)

I did some searching and found the cig lighter fuse is at the rear of the car. The fuse kit that I bought seems to be too far as the wire may not long enough. Does anyone know if below is possible ,

1. Either add-a-circuit on top of the f15 (electronic compass) which is the last fuse of the box - the kit in bought seems needs some wider clearance and I don't think It has enough room to stick that adapter in the middle of the fuses ) I believe this f15 is a switched circuit. (Power when car running)
Or
2. Is f16-f18 available to use that's connected behind the box? It would be great if I can just use an empty slot)

Sorry... give who a call? My question was more how others have routed the wire from dash to fuse box in their ml350.

Did you find a location for the voltage supply? It's fuse #37, 10amp, in the load compartment fuse box.
