DPF self-regeneration trigger
In recent months I have noticed that when my ML 320 Cdi (155K miles, full main dealer service history) is stood with engine in idle for 5 or 6 minutes, when I pull away i get the DPF regeneration smoke for a minute or two. This can happen several times per week. Is this normal?

Regeneration takes place when the delta P goes out of the programmed range---take the car for 2hr high speed road trip
