Good morning,
I have a 2003 ML350 in which the keyless remote works to unlock the vehicle. However, the keyless remote will not lock the vehicle. Do you have any suggestions? Would this be a fuse issue?

Ah, I was MIA too for a while on Tuesday but it was due to a bottle of particularly raunchy Cuban rum. I should have known better, three years is just not enough time for anything except maybe paint thinner and starter fluid...

Your problem is most likely the door handle has died. It happens. Is it just one door or all of them?

If they keyless remote works to unlock but not lock it's likely not the door handle. First, put a fresh battery on the remote and then try it again. If that doesn't fix the problem, go get your owner's manual (click here if you don't have it) and open it to page 244, look for the section entitled "Synchronizing remote control." Follow the instructions. If that doesn't fix it, you'll need to take it to a shop for troubleshooting.

Gentlemen, the door lock handles on W163 MLs are strictly mechanical, and nothing like W164 handles.
