BlueTec System problem
My 2011 ML350 BlueTec has been giving me some issues lately. First, I had the adblue heater replaced. Now, I am getting an intermittent check engine light with a generic code of P2BAA, which is a code in which I understand is relating to the emissions system. I will say that this code has been more commonly seen in colder weather, lets say 30 degrees and below. I have noticed exhaust fumes (only a slight smell of diesel) at the rear of the car. I also have pulled codes from Carly for Mercedes from my iPhone app. The code I got was " Code: OBD 0A P2BAA
- Fault: The lower limit value for long-term adaptation of the SCR exhaust aftertreatment system was dropped below."- I spoke with my dealer, they think it is either a faulty SCR or NOx sensors?? They aren't sure and have said it would be roughly 2k to do the repairs. Also, they found that my oil cooler lines are leaking a little but don't need to be replaced yet? Another 2k repair?
Any ideas on the codes? Could it be from bad diesel? The first time the code appeared was right after filling the car up at a sketchy diesel pump... it was the only one nearby and I needed fuel.
I appreciate any comments.
