Rear liftgate support shocks need replacing
So looks like I need to replace my rear liftgate shocks since everytime I open it now it slowly starts to come down, how did I discover this? It hit my head!
I called the dealer and they quoted me $280/each!!!! I was like WTF? I guess since I have the non-manual liftgate I might be stuck with having to purchase these from the dealer?
Amazon her shocks for alot cheaper but I think these are for manual liftgates.
Wanted some advice if I can still use the manual shocks OR if I need to get special ones since my SUV has the motorized liftgate?

With the tailgate open, give them a good spray of silicon or ptfe aerosol spray. Leave it open to let it run down inside the upper portion of the struts and soak in a bit.
It may well improve their performance.
