DPF Pressure sensor.
Hi Guys
I'm getting a P2454 code generating the MiL and limp mode (although the light for that doesn't illuminate).
My iCarsoft MBII tells me it the DPF Sensor showing a low voltage.
Anyone got a clue about this, where does it live etc?
Thanks in advance.

No you didn't waste my time.
Your vin # was accepted for parts search but for some unk reason, EPC did not allow info on DATA card.
Here is the part number but EPC only lists one, but the PDF shows that there are two.
Do you have a scanner, not a code reader?

Many thanks MD, I appreciate it! I've got two sensors on order.
I've only got one of those icarsoft MBII units. It does let me erase codes generated by the various MB modules. Although, these codes are listed in the OBD section of the tool, stored and pending. It can erase those too.

Right, so I managed to snag a Bosch sensor from my supplier (a bit like Napa for you in the land of the free) it didn't bloody fit! Well, it did but the connector wouldn't snap on like the original. I had to resort to a zip tie to keep it in place. Whatever, it works. Or at least I think it does. Done a couple of drive cycles and there's no codes. So it looks like I picked the right one! I went for the difficult one of the two. The one on the drivers side (for you Americans) with only a three inch piece of hose connecting it.
I'll replace the other sensor when I get it on Wednesday.
Oh my, it's like a bingo game owning one of these cars, wondering what this week's code will be!
My thanks, as always, to our MD.... I call him that as he's like a Mercedes Medec a proper Mercedes Doctor and I for one would be lost without his help. So thanks again.

Aye, fingers crossed! I tried my local MD dealer but all of the 15 tries they just went to answer machine, what can you do? Seems like everyone wants parts!
Seems like my original connectors are in a slightly different place for the revised part numbers!
I'd love a DPF delete one day, to really unleash this motor.

Well, the cleared codes haven't come back, yet! So it looks like I picked the right one.
I've now got the other sensor and it's clear that the cable connector retention pins on the first one are deformed in shape. So I've ordered another one. I'll fit them both when it arrives.
Typical of aftermarket parts, unfortunately!

Put them both on now, the replacement fitted fine. I could immediately notice the difference just by the exhaust smell.
The ECU must have been injecting diesel into the DPF to try and compensate for the faulty sensor(s).
If anyone ever gets this code, don't leave it! Change the sensor(s) PDQ. They are fairly inexpensive, unlike the damage that would be caused by running with them faulty.
