Door locks
I may have posted this to tha AMG 163/164 forum. Sorry.
So my 2006 ML500 started to not lock using the fob. I would be away from the car for a intermittent amount of time then try locking it with the fob as I approached & it would lock & unlock. Now it will not lock or unlock at all. Also tried using the inside lock buttons a few times & they don’t seem to loch the doors either. Only tried this a couple times as I’m afraid if I lock it I won’t be able to get back in it as the manual key does not seem to function.
I have had the problem of the doors unlocking while driving. Sometime this happens by itself or if I use another function like turn signal or rolling a window down. Happens either way for some time now.
Bought batteries for the fob but have not replaced them yet. Notice I don’t see a light on the fob illuminate so wondering if that is the original problem mentioned.
The secondary problem I’ve had for awhile have heard it is possibly some actuator or one of the two door panel controls.
