Rear Turn Signal Error (08 ML350)

Sometimes when I use the left turn signal, it blinks fast as if a bulb is out. The bulb is not blown. Sometimes it works normal, sometimes it blinks fast as if something is wrong. What could it be?

Switch bulb only to the right side and vice versa.

It will probably tell you that the socket is bad.

Can I just replace the socket? What causes the socket to go bad? Thanks, for your help.

Did you switch the two bulbs?

It's probably the socket. It's a pretty regular problem that can be fixed by cleaning all the connections in the socket and making sure the metal connections can actually make contact with the bulb.
there is also a repair kit available from mercedes but I was able to fix both of mine by cleaning in it up.

But you should still switch the bulb to the other side. Sometimes bulbs looks brand new but can have a faulty filament that doesn't work 100%
